Just like Fighting Spirit, Overman King Gainer was a DVD I took a chance on because it was super-cheap at the nearby Half Price Books. It took me a couple of tries before I finished the disc (I have a tendency to fall asleep when I watch DVDs in bed), but it was worth it. I enjoyed what I saw, and made it a point to continue the series when I could. Then Bandai released this super-thin Anime Legends Complete Collection.
I love the opening theme, and I can’t quite say why. It’s fun. It’s pretty cheesy. But, dammit, it catchy! Check out the part where they’re doing ‘the monkey’. There’s some really nice animation here, too, but you probably won’t notice it do to the quality. Enjoy!
