I know I haven’t posted much for awhile, and I’ve gotten as tired of posting and updating the top sellers as I’m sure many have to tired of seeing.
Yesterday was probably one of the best days ever! Anyone who knows me knows that this is not an expression I use often. Or ever, for that matter.
So what made my day so great?
First, I visited a comic book store not far from me that I’ve never been to before. This was probably one of the best stores I’ve ever been in. It’s big, spacious, and brightly lit. Plus, it has shelves and shelves of graphic novels and trade paperbacks! I’d guess they have damn near every trade/gn that is currently in print, as well as a few that aren’t. And it is here that I found the Ultimates 2 oversized hardcover, which is becoming harder to find these days. Plus, I found the Marv figure I needed for my Monkeyman build-a-figure.
Then, I stopped at one of the Buy Backs locations near my house where I found a complete set of Aura Battler Dunbine. And by complete, I mean including the elusive volumes 11 and 12. The whole shebang cost $110, which comes out to a little over $9 per disc. That is one helluva steal considering I’ve seen volumes 11 and 12 listed on various marketplace sites for $120-130 each!
All I have to do now is make time to watch it.
