HC, 7″ x 10″One of the earliest projects from acclaimed writer Steven T. Seagle and superstar artist Tim Sale returns in a gorgeous hardcover edition!
The Amazon jungle is among the most ancient and biologically diverse places on earth, but it’s being plundered for its resources and destroyed at a rate of thousands of acres a day. Reporter Malcolm Hilliard travels to this remote land of mystery to investigate the disappearance of an American worker and the subsequent sabotage of a timber company. Once there, Malcolm learns about the local cultures and myths, experiences the dark underside of industrial progress, gets drugged and left to fend for himself in the jungle, and is confronted by the Spirit of the Amazon itself in Seagle and Sale’s South American Heart of Darkness.
* This deluxe twentieth-anniversary hardcover features new colors by Matt Hollingsworth, and a new cover by Tim Sale and Dave Stewart!
* Collects issues #1-#3 of the miniseries.
I might get this just for Sale’s art.

I really need to start reading these trades (most of them are sitting on a bookshelf).
GANTZ VOLUME 8
Hiroya Oku (W/A)On sale Nov 25
b&w, 224 pages
$12.95
TPB, 5 1/8″ x 7 1/4″Without giving anything away, suffice it to say that this might be the watershed volume of Gantz. It’s the end of the great Buddha battle, and it doesn’t seem to be going well. In fact, it would be amazing if anyone returned to the locked apartment overlooking Tokyo tower. It’s really been the worst fight yet. But there’s got to be a gleam of hope somewhere.
Also in this story, we meet a few more interesting characters outside of Gantz’s hunting party, and it only adds more mystery to the mix.
* Gantz has proven to be one of the most popular adult anime in recent years, with over 175,000 copies sold in the U.S. alone!
* Each volume of Gantz comes shrink-wrapped and carries an 18+ content advisory.
Hasn’t this been solicited already? I could’ve sworn I had this under August’s solicitations.

I still haven’t picked up my copy of #1, which was supposed to be out last week. I didn’t get it due to a shortage.
