- Well, I think the biggest news yesterday was Marvel’s acquisition of Marvelman. Unfortunately, Quesada couldn’t answer very many questions about the acquisition and what plans the future holds for the property. Rich Johnston’s Bleeding Cool site is reporting that Marvel will reprint the older Silver Age material. While, this would be cool if it were true, I’d much rather see reprints of the Alan Moore and Neil Gaiman material.
- I did see a blurb about Charlie Huston writing a Deathlok series, so now I know why that art’s been floating around.
- The Question will get the main feature in Detective Comics with Batwoman being the second feature in the near future.
- Marvel’s next animated direct to DVD film will be Planet Hulk, with Thor: Tales of Asgard to follow.
- Fan reaction to the Iron Man anime was good, but not so much towards the Wolverine anime.
- A Red She-Hulk will be appearing in the upcoming battle with X-Force during the “Code Red” arc.
- Robert Kirkman says the original Invincible costume will return and Astounding Wolf-man will come to a natural conclusion with #25. That’s kind of a bummer. I liked having a superhero werewolf running around. Plus, the book was ridiculously bloody fun. He and Jason Howard will be moving on to a kid-friendly project in the near future. God damn kids are ruining my comics!
- Dynamite Entertainment licensed Fighting American from Joe Simon and the Kirby estate.
I’m still waiting for more news on the Longbox digital comics doodad. Hopefully, there will be something about it today.
