I spent a huge chunk of my day watching G4’s coverage of the Con yesterday. Observations:
- There are a lot of hotties working for G4.
- Olivia Munn should have dropped those capes and shown everyone the goods.
- I will never have enough money to have the ultimate San Diego Con experience. I will need to at least be debt-free, so that by the end of the con I can have a maxed out credit card again.
- I probably wouldn’t be able to get back on the plane with all of the stuff I would buy.
- There is just too much to see it all in one weekend.
As for news items? Well, I seem to recall some of those, too.
- Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 1 is coming to blu ray in November, and Season 2 looks to be even more fun.
- The closest Star Wars in Concert will get to me is Oklahoma.
- Todd McFarlane will pencil and ink most of Spawn #200. He wants to have some Image founders due flashback scenes.
- Jim Lee will contribute a wraparound cover to Tyrese Gibson’s Mayhem TPB.
- CBR has the trailers for the Iron Man and Wolverine anime films and they look pretty cool. I’m kind of disappointed that Iron Man isn’t a giant robot though.
- The folks working on DCU Online continue to tease us with lots of cool imagery, and no release date to look forward to.
- DC will be integrating the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents into the DCU like they have the Milestone and Red Circle characters.
Jim Lee's influence is very visible in the 3d models.
And I’m spent. Just think, the Chicago Con is only a couple of weeks away…
