Thanks for pointing that out. I'll keep that in mind for next time.

I'm not a huge fan of packing peanuts either, but I do like to re-use what I can. I have a ton of that stuff from shipments I've received, and rather than just tossing it all in the trash, I put it in a box and use it when I can. As you can see, I'm also re-using an Amazon.com box from a recent order. After I sealed up the box, I took a big black marker and scribbled over all of the Amazon markings.

Hopefully, there won't be any problems should the rubber band break. I didn't bother removing anything from the comics to be bound, so if need be, putting them back in order should be a snap (just from looking at issue numbers).

And thanks for helping make this the most commented upon post on the entire blog. :)

I should have also noted from your picture: Several shipments back, I called James once my books arrived at Waco to discuss something specific to that order with him, and he opened the box while we were on the phone which led to us discussing packaging. He has a very low opinion of the styrofoam "peanuts" - which I had used for that box. "Useless" was his term - "Lets the books flop all around." He suggests packing the box so fully with newspaper that you've got one solid mass that will not allow any shifting of the contents. I see you seem to have put your books in a bag, which is good, but he says with the peanuts and just rubber bands holding the books, he's gotten boxes where the rubber bands broke and the comics were all scattered in the box, no way for them to know what order they were supposed to be in.

Good point about the "c". I hadn't thought of that! Hopefully, I'll hear from James before that part gets done. I can live without a lowercase "c" if it means saving $10.

Just one comment. It's my (possibly mistaken) understanding that if you do it with the standard default typeface that LBC uses for its basic, no-frills binding, it's only capitals. If you're insistent on the lower case "c" in "McDANIEL," you may end up paying for hand set type.

Even if this is currently a "so-so" title, it's about to become one of your prized possessions!

(I ran up against a 20-character limit in my Name above - should end in "-r"....)
